The reason for the trip was to go to our new niece Reese's baby blessing in Baltimore. The blessing was beautiful and she was so cute and sweet. I loved holding her and getting a chance to enjoy her. Jake and I just adored her. All of Jake's family got to go to the baby blessing except Sam who is in the Army Reserves training. It was fun to see everyone. It has been almost two years since we've seen some of them.
We went to the park and played football, play games and visited. It was fun!
On Wednesday night we went into downtown Baltimore with Nate, Lori, and Reese, and Ben & Caitlin. It is a big city. The older part has pavers on the road. It was quite charming. We also walked around the Inner Harbor. It was really cool! We were at a pizza place and I asked a guy to take our picture and he thought I asked to take his picture. He was like I'm nobody famous why do you want my picture, I'm no Oriole or anything. His friends were laughing too because they knew what I asked. It was hilarious.
Reese enjoying the ride.
It was nice to be able to spend so much time with Jake without kids. Thanks to my mom and dad for letting us have an unforgettable trip. Nate and Lori were great! We had an amazing trip!

Washington DC October 2009
I'm out of order because we went to the DC Temple on Wednesday and DC on Thursday after we went to Palmyra. Oh well!
The DC Temple is amazing. It is huge! I loved the outside of the Temple. I've always wanted to see it and it was impressive. The inside is beautiful as well. The colors around the Temple were some of the best colors we saw.
The Temple from the freeway.
On Thursday we went into DC with Nate, Lori and Reese. We walked and walked and walked. The buildings are quite impressive and have a special feel to them too.
We took a tour of the Capitol building. It was such a beautiful building with so much history. It was definitely one of my favorite buildings there.
The Library of Congress. We didn't make it inside though.
The Washington Monument was great. We rode the elevator up 500 feet and saw DC from the sky. It was fun!
Here we are at the WW II monument. I loved the quotes on the walls. I really liked this monument. We also saw the Korean and Vietnam Memorials too.
Then we went to the Lincoln Monument which was Jake's favorite. It was impressive. Lori told me to look behind me and there was Janet Napalitano. It was pretty funny. She noticed us looking at her. Thank goodness she left before Nate saw her and started saying stuff.
White House from afar.
We went to the Natural History Museum. By then we were tired and hungry so we didn't explore very much.
We also just made it into the National Archives Building and saw the Constitution, Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence. That was pretty cool!
It was a long day but worth the trip. We could have come a few more days. We drove by the Jefferson Memorial, Arlington Cemetery and the Pentagon but we just ran out of time.

Palymra, New York
On Monday and Tuesday, Jake and I went to Palymra, New York. This was our favorite part of the trip. It was a six hour drive from Nate's house. The drive was beautiful with fall leaves galore. We saw the Susquehenna River and two of the finger lakes. Now those are lakes and rivers. The weather was perfect and the church sites were very special!
We first stopped at the Visitors Center by the Hill Cumorah. Inside the Visitors Center they had these amazing sculptures. This was Jake's favorite sculpture, Jesus walking on the water.
Then we walked up the Hill Cumorah to the Moroni statue.
Looking down the Hill Cumorah.
On the grounds of Hill Cumorah.
Next we went to the Joseph Smith Farm. The sister missionary made me cry reciting Joseph Smith's Testimony.
The Frame Home
Then we got to go to the Sacred Grove and for awhile we were the only ones in the Sacred Grove. What a beautiful experience to be there with Jake and to feel of the Spirit so abundantly.
The Spire of the Temple from the Sacred Grove.
Then we went into town and visited the the Book of Mormon Publication site.
On Tuesday morning we were able to do a Temple session in the Palmyra Temple. It is a very beautiful temple with beautiful stain glass of the Sacred Grove.
Finally we stopped at the Peter Whitmer Farm where the church was first organized. It was a very special place too. The couple missionary shared with us some fascinating stories.Everywhere we went there were very few people. It was a great time to go. It was amazing to be in the very places the church was restored on this Earth. I am very thankful for the beautiful experiences we had there.

I want one!
I bought pumpkins to carve on Monday and I was only going to get two. I made the mistake of saying one for Isaac and one for Aubree. Emilee started crying, "I want one". Then I tried to fix the mistake and say we would have a boy pumpkin and a girl pumpkin. Well, she is no dummy and she kept crying for a pumpkin. So we ended up with three pumpkins this year.
Aubree was all about having a scary pumpkin this year. As soon as Halloween stuff started popping up she mentioned numerous times that she wanted a scary pumpkin this year. I guess that is why we also got the scary face pictures from her.
We had a beatiful sunrise a couple of mornings ago. It was just simply beautiful!
The other night after Isaac's soccer game I was getting Emilee dressed for bed and she started getting on the shin guards all by herself (backwards of course). She got his shoes on and started to kick the pink rubber ball around the house. It was so cute! Watch out in two years for Emilee to be in soccer. She's going to tear it up!

Little Bits of Fun
Emilee got a hold of Jake's old glasses and looked so funny I had to take some pictures!
Jake decided to make a temporary fire pit and we had our first outside fire last night. It was fun! We also played the game telephone/gossip and Emilee would pass on the funniest interpretation of what we said. It was a good family night!
This last weekend Jake helped me make a display board for Isaac's room and helped hang the girl's names in their room.
And lastly Jake broke out his 20+ year old gameboy and the kids and him have been playing that lately. It still works perfectly!

GOAL!!!
Isaac scored his first goal of the season today! He played really hard and had a great time. I'm finally posting some pictures of him during his game and practices.
Another Miller goalie! Jake doesn't want him to play goalie right now so he didn't this game.
He's standing like Grandpa Miller when he watches the game.
